MARIGOLD (2021)

Marigold is a colored ornamental typeface based on the organic forms of the plant kingdom. It is inspired by Owen Jones’ The Grammar of Ornament, a folio of decorative patterns and motifs collected from diverse cultures and time periods, published in 1856. I designed and developed a microsite to accompany the typeface, which enables visitors to use Marigold to create their own compositions.
